GMSWA Visioning Day

GMSWA Visioning Day.

Date: 5th March 2020
Time: 10:00am – 2:00pm
Location: Central Manchester (venue to be confirmed)


The purpose of the day is to relaunch the partnership post government funding and to discuss and agree the priorities and objectives for GMSWA going forward.

In brief the half day session will be in two parts, in the first part of the session will include a keynote speech from the Teaching Partnership lead for the Department for Education (Dfe) and you will also hear from representatives from across the partnership as well as the public involvement board.

The second part of the day will be a workshop session where you will be asked to identify the key priorities for GMSWA and social work across education, teaching and practice. Your feedback will be collated and analysed and will inform the priorities and the work programme for GMSWA going forward.

Paul Marshall, who is the Strategic Director for Children and Education Services at Manchester City Council, the lead employer, and the current Chair of the Governance Board will facilitate  on the day.
